Later Today

Posted on June 11, 2013 under Storytelling with no comments yet

Later today, I will be posting one last story about wellness which has been a common theme lately. I wrote this story quite a while ago and am just getting around to posting it. I went to an exercise class in my mother’s apartment building put on by this lady, Zoe. I went to take a picture and was shamed into participating. It was quite an eye opener.

I have been waiting for June to roll around so that I could post a wedding story and that will be coming along shortly. Do you remember the first waltz at your wedding dance? This is a story about inappropriate choices for the first dance.

Any canoers out there? Thirty five years ago, I canoed the Peace River from the B.C. border to the town of Fairview where I was teaching school at the time. A lot can happen when you spend two days and twenty hours on the water. That story will be coming soon as well.

I also have a story about an experience at a car wash. This actually happened about four years ago and is a true story. It has not been embellished. Let’s just say that the sunroof wasn’t quite closed.

If any of you read The Casket, pick up a copy later today. The fact you read The Casket tells me that you have some connection to Antigonish. I wrote a tribute to the late George Grant. If you ever played hockey in Antigonish, you know who George is.

I am happy to report that my 30 day challenge is off to a good start. This is day 4 and no sweets so far, plus I have increased my activity level.

The best news of all is that our newest granddaughter, Leah Rose, has come to spend a few days with us.Grandkids is the best cure for what ails you!
