Update

The first month of the year has flown by. When you get to a certain age, time hurtles along. I wanted to let you know about a few things. If all goes as planned the “Phil and Len” show will be launched soon in The Casket. Well known retired English prof, humourist and bee keeper, Phil Milner will be writing a bi-weekly story in the local paper. I will be occupying the space on the opposite weeks. Sometimes we might banter back and forth on the same topic but from a completely different point of view while other weeks we’ll just go with what strikes our funny bone.

I am launching another project this week. I am going to go to a seniors’ apartment complex later in the week for a “story exchange”. My idea is to read a few of my stories out loud and hopefully this will provide fodder for some of them to tell their own humorous stories. Story telling is becoming a lost art. I’ll let you know how it goes. I’m sure I’ll get some great ideas for new stories.

I am in discussions with a local artist about illustrating my stories. My long term goal is to write a book and I would love to have pictures to go along with the words.
